Fishing

Experience the joy of catching a fish at lake O’Reilly. We restock our pond every spring so they’re ready to catch by summer. If you’re lucky enough, you might even catch the wakonda whale!

Target Shooting Sports

Riflery&Archery. Channel your inner Katniss Everdeen and Robin Hood with our riflery and archery ranges. We of course teach proper form, safety, and precision, but expand the fun by playing tic tac toe, popping balloons, and getting out to our 3-D archery range.

Campfire Ceremonies

What is camp without a campfire? At YMCA Camp Wakonda, a campfire is much more to us than four logs and a flame. It is symbolic to our heart as it is what brings the whole camp together. Campers will be introduced to camp on their first night through our opening campfire ceremony where we sing fun songs and perform goofy skits. We end our week with a closing ceremony with songs, gifts, and a chance to say “see you later” to the friends your camper makes.

& SO MUCH MORE!
